The carcass construction of massive walls joined on a "dovetail"

tmp53a8-1The carcass construction of massive walls joined on a "dovetail" (called "Slavic quarry") – perspective view of a corner.

Traditional carcass construction called “Slavic focal point "consists in connecting amphibians in the corner on the so-called. dovetail, with beam ends trimmed to the face of the walls.
The figure below shows a practical way to make amphibian incisions with a template. The template has dimensions based on multiples 1/12 amphibian height. Amphibians have cross sections in proportions 2:1 (12:6). The template is two times the width of the amphibians (12 parts) and height from 2 do 4 parts.
The simplest variety of the Slavic wall is made of amphibians with a rectangular cross section, without chamfering of the beams on the outside. Such a wall is to be finished from the outside with a cladding made of boards, under which additional mineral wool insulation can be used.

tmp53a8-2The carcass construction of massive walls joined on a "dovetail" (called “the Slavic heart”):
a) determination “dovetail "
b) geometrical rules for determining the joint – views of amphibians joined in the corner and the geometry of the strip for marking out the "dovetail".
