Ceramic products

Ceramic products are made of clay after appropriate processing, shaping and firing at a temperature of 850-1000 ° C.
Solid brick is used to make the walls, perforated or checkered brick and hollow hollow bricks vertically.
The dimensions of the brick vary from country to country and from time to time. In Poland, solid bricks with dimensions of 130x70x60 mm were used (70 mm). From more than 30 For years, a brick of dimensions has been produced in Poland 120 x 250 x 65 mm. The dimensions of the perforated brick are the same as those of the solid brick.

Building bricks full of classes 20, 15 i 10 used in the construction of load-bearing walls, poles, pillars, vaults and chimneys. Load-bearing walls of buildings above the ground can also be made of ceramic hollow bricks.

Partition and curtain walls as well as Klein ceilings are made of perforated bricks and hollow bricks. Hollow brick is produced in two classes: 2,5 i 5. The class of brick means its average compressive strength (MPa).

Made of solid brick, classes higher than 20 walls of buildings up to 20-25 storeys.

Due to the required coefficient of thermal conductivity Ukmax ≤ 50 W/(m²·K) for external walls, solid brick walls are uneconomical, because their thickness is above 3 bricks.

In practice, there are many varieties of ceramic blocks used both for the construction of external and internal walls, and ceramic-reinforced concrete ceilings. The Ackerman brick is widely used in Poland, Fert i Porotherm. Ceramic products (brick, hollow bricks) they have high compressive strength and low tensile strength, and for these reasons they are mainly used in these structural elements, in which they are subjected to compressive forces. Ceramic hollow bricks should not be used in the construction of foundations, basement walls and chimney walls.
