Shapes of tiles
Most ceramic tiles are rectangular or square, however, there are also octagons, Provencal tiles and round-edged tiles. The most typical is a square tile, with evenly cut edges. Some manufacturers also offer
universal plates, one or two edges of which are glazed, applicable there, where the edges of the row of tiles will be exposed. Quarter-cylinder plates are used for mounting on the crests of corners. Ceramic wall tiles are most often squares by side 10 or 15 cm, ceramic floor tiles have dimensions 15 on 20 cm, other floor tiles typically have a side length 30 cm.
