Sloping roofs – suspension structures

tmpd7df-2Gabled suspension roofs
a) rafter-collar beam
b) claw-purlin

• In suspension roofs with rafter and collar beam structures, the roof truss creates a complete ceiling at the same time, because the tram beams are present in each pair of rafters.

• In suspension roofs with a claw-purlin structure, the tram beams are present only in full trusses and in order to make the ceiling, the ceiling beams should be supplemented also in empty trusses.

The implementation of wooden ceilings can be solved at the suspension roof both on the level and parallel to the tram beams or above these beams, then supporting the perpendicular floor beams.
